Dr. Jerry Hu brings a rare and comprehensive perspective to Internal Medicine. As a Board-Certified physician who is also a former Clinical Pharmacist, Dr. Hu possesses a deep understanding of pharmacology that allows him to optimize treatment plans and focus on “whole-person” health.
Dr. Hu’s journey began at the University of Michigan, where he completed his undergraduate studies and pharmacy school. He went on to earn his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM) before accepting a commission in the U.S. Army. He completed his residency at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and served with distinction as a physician and officer for over 12 years, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2025.
Never one to stop learning, Dr. Hu recently completed his MBA at Rice University’s Jones School of Business, further enhancing his ability to deliver efficient, high-quality care. His clinical philosophy is rooted in empowerment; he strives to help every patient become the “best version of themselves” through preventative care and evidence-based medicine. He has a particular clinical interest in gut health and the microbiome as key drivers for wellness and longevity.
Now proud to call San Antonio home, Dr. Hu is excited to put down roots with his wife, Dr. Alexandra Yuri Hu, and their son, Konstantin.
