Dr. James R. Bartay, MD is a seasoned family and geriatric medicine physician with over 40 years of experience caring for Texans across generations. Born and raised in Bellville, Texas, Dr. Bartay’s commitment to service began early, earning a National Health Service Corps Scholarship and launching his career in public health at Su Clinica Familiar in Harlingen.
A graduate of McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Medical School at Houston, he completed his residency at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin before establishing a long-standing practice in New Braunfels, where he’s been a trusted provider since 1994. Dr. Bartay is known for his thorough, compassionate care and his ability to connect with patients of all ages, especially older adults navigating complex health needs.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Bartay remains deeply engaged in the New Braunfels community, embodying the same dedication and empathy that define his medical practice.
